Exactly which cookies and local storage endlayer uses, what each one does, and how to change or withdraw your choice at any time.

The short version
We use almost none. One cookie remembers the choice you make in the cookie banner, and one entry in local storage remembers light or dark mode. Analytics is off until you turn it on, and you can turn it back off from the panel below or from "Cookie settings" in the footer.

1.What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. Related technologies — local storage and session storage — do a similar job. This policy covers all of them, and "cookies" below means any of them.
2.How consent works here
The first time you visit, a banner asks you to accept all cookies, reject everything that is not strictly necessary, or choose category by category. Nothing optional is set before you answer, and if you never answer, nothing optional is ever set. Your answer is sent to our server, which records it in a cookie named endlayer_consent; the request is logged with its time so we can show that consent was given.
The choice lasts 180 days, after which we ask again. If we add a category or change this policy in a way that matters, we ask again sooner. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from the panel on this page or from "Cookie settings" in the footer of every page; withdrawing removes the optional cookies and stops the scripts they belong to.
3.What we actually use
Consent record (strictly necessary, cookie, 180 days). Named endlayer_consent. It holds a version number, one on/off flag per optional category and the time you decided. It contains no identifier and is sent only to www.endlayer.ai.
Theme preference (strictly necessary, local storage, persistent). A single key remembering whether you chose light mode, dark mode, or system default. It contains no identifier and never leaves your browser.
Hosting and security (strictly necessary, session). Our host may set short-lived cookies to route requests correctly and to mitigate abuse. These carry no marketing function.
Analytics (optional, off by default). If you turn this category on, Google Analytics 4 loads and sets its `_ga` cookies (up to two years) to count page views and interactions with IP addresses truncated. It does not load, and no request is made to Google, until you have turned it on. Turning it off deletes those cookies and reloads the page so the script is gone. On a deployment where analytics has not been configured, this category does nothing at all.
Marketing (optional, off by default). Reserved for advertising or CRM cookies. Nothing on the site sets one today; the category exists so that your choice is already recorded if that changes, and we will update this section before it does.
4.What we don't use
No advertising cookies. No cross-site tracking pixels. No social media cookies unless you actively click through to a social platform, at which point that platform's own policy applies. No fingerprinting.
5.Your choices
Use the panel at the top of this page, or "Cookie settings" in the footer, to see what is on, change it, or withdraw consent entirely. Every browser also lets you view, delete, and block cookies and clear local storage — usually under Settings → Privacy. Blocking everything is fine here: the only things you will lose are the site remembering your consent choice and your theme preference.
You can also use your operating system's "prefers dark mode" setting instead, which we respect automatically and which requires no storage at all.

External links, including the "Ask an AI" links in the footer, take you to third-party sites that set their own cookies under their own policies.
